After intensive fabrication work, the project has reached a new milestone: The reserve gate for the Emden Lock is being loaded by Stahlbau Nord and is now entering the next stage of its journey towards Emden.

From 1 to 4 September 2026, we will once again be exhibiting at SMM in Hamburg. Together with our subsidiaries, we look forward to engaging conversations, making new connections, and exchanging ideas about the future of the maritime industry.

Together with our five subsidiaries, Arthur Friedrichs Industriebedarf, Rönner Verwaltungsgesellschaft, Stahlbau Nord, Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven, and BREDO DRY DOCKS, we took to the starting line and successfully completed the 6 km course as a team despite the summer heat.

Strong together on the water: the Werft Dragons secured an excellent third place in the FUN Gold class at the 24th SWB Dragon Boat Cup Bremerhaven.

A new accessible gondola built by Roßlau Shipyard was officially christened and commissioned at Wörlitz Park.

A special milestone for the future of sustainable shipping. On 17 June, the keel was laid at the SET shipyard in Tangermünde for the first fully electric passenger ferry for HADAG Seetouristik und Fährdienst AG.

Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven has been selected as the shipyard partner for the ambitious superyacht project “Beyond Horizons” by the Maybach Ocean Club. With the planned realization of this exceptional yacht, the project now enters its next development phase on the path from vision to execution.

Sometimes few words say it all. A customer’s feedback speaks for itself: “Hapag Lloyd Cruises has a trusting relationship with Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, with which we have consistently had positive experiences over the past years.”

Three special containers for an industrial client are currently being manufactured in the special construction department. These are true heavyweights, each weighing around 21 tons.

On behalf of Faaborg Shipyard, the two navigation systems for the floating grab “Cavator” of the WSA Minden are nearing completion.

Yesterday, the Milwaukee event took place at Arthur Friedrichs Industriebedarf in Bremerhaven, and numerous visitors were able to experience the innovative Milwaukee products up close.

Yesterday, we jointly celebrated the keel laying of the new seagoing technology platform MODULARIS for the German Aerospace Center (DLR) at Flensburger Shipyard.

The hall extension in Genthin has been completed. With a new 10.50 m hall gate, an optimized gate exit, and expanded crane systems, SET is ready for the next major projects.

The next milestone has been reached: construction has started on the three fully electric passenger ferries for HADAG Seetouristik und Fährdienst AG.

On 09 May 2026, a key milestone in the refurbishment of the Schleusenstraße bascule bridge was achieved: the fully refurbished counterweight beam was successfully reinstalled.

GMW Burg GmbH and Everllence SE have agreed on a long term cooperation for the production of large components. The agreement covers the machining of crankcases over a period of ten years (2026–2035).

A special event is coming up at Arthur Friedrichs Industriebedarf: together with the well known tool brand Milwaukee, the company is inviting guests to a grand opening event.

The SET slipway in Genthin, the heart of the shipyard since 1968, is being comprehensively renewed. Designed for vessels up to 82 meters in length and 640 tons, it has been indispensable for operations for decades. After more than 50 years in service, one thing is clear: without it, nothing works.

Contract signing for the future of sea rescuers in the North Sea and Baltic Sea: the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) has commissioned us, SET Schiffbau- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft Tangermünde, with the construction of a prototype for a new class of search and rescue cruiser.

Starting in May, SET will begin production of three aluminum superstructures for HADAG vessels. At the same time, SET is making targeted investments in expanding its own production capacities.
