Am 13 June 2026, the 24th SWB Dragon Boat Cup Bremerhaven took place at Schaufenster Fischereihafen. Under the command “Attention – Ready – GO!”, numerous teams lined up at the start and delivered exciting races on the water.
For the first time, the BREDO DRAGONS and the Lloyd Dragons from Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven competed together as Team WERFTDRACHEN. After several joint training sessions, the employees from the shipyard successfully held their own against most of the competition.
Out of a total of 33 registered teams, the WERFTDRACHEN achieved a strong third place in the FUN Gold class. Only the six sports teams from the separate performance category, as well as “Bremens Grüne Welle” and “proAktiv Dragons,” finished ahead of the shipyard team in the final.
Despite changeable weather with heavy rain showers, the atmosphere remained positive throughout the event. In total, 30 teams completed the competition, creating a day full of sport, team spirit, commitment, and solidarity.
