Roßlau Shipyard has officially christened and commissioned a new accessible gondola at the Dessau Wörlitz Garden Realm. During a ceremonial event, the gondola was given the name "Luise Schoch."
The christening ceremony was led by Professor Dr Harald Meller, Acting Chairman of the Board and Director of the Dessau Wörlitz Cultural Foundation, together with Dr Sebastian Putz, State Secretary for Culture.
The name honors Luise Schoch (1767 to 1813), an important figure in the history of Wörlitz and a close companion of Prince Franz. It recognizes the historical significance of the Garden Realm and strengthens its connection to the region.
The accessible gondola, built by Roßlau Shipyard, makes an important contribution to accessibility and enables more people to experience the cultural heritage of Wörlitz Park.
