Following the start of construction in January 2025, the project for Niedersachsen Ports has reached another significant milestone. Stahlbau Nord is loading the several hundred tonne heavy reserve gate for the Emden Lock from the Lunehalle in Bremerhaven onto the heavy lift pontoon BHV Innovation operated by BVT Chartering & Logistics.
The loading process is carried out with the highest precision and extensive preparation. Every step must be perfectly coordinated to ensure that the heavy structure can be safely moved onto the pontoon.
The transport is the result of a strong team effort combining technical expertise, experience and close cooperation between all partners involved. Together, another important stage of the project is being successfully completed.
The reserve gate will then begin its journey to Emden, marking the next important step in the project’s progress.
