Works undertaken on the Maersk Vessels Nimes, Niteroi and Nienburg

Rupertus Strako GmbH has undertaken a number of works on three Maersk vessels, among them the coating, blasting and high-pressure cleaning of the hull and the cargo holds with a pressure of 2500 bar.

 

Summary of undertaken tasks, exemplified by the Maersk Nienburg:

12421 sqm of upper deck, underwater hull sides and bottom high-pressure washed at 350 bar.

Deck structures, crossways etc.

2591 sqm sandblasted with a 10% content of abrasive agents
64 hours repairing painting damages in the paintcoat with three layers of Tu Intershield ENA
2591 sqm paintrolled with Fc

Waterline area:

1400 sqm sandblasted (incl. on-deck structures)
400 sqm sweeped
1400 sqm spray-painted with a 500 µm coat of red paint, incl. on deck structures)
400 sqm spray-painted with a 300 µm coat of red paint

Sides of the underwater hull:

598 sqm sandblasted with a 15% content of abrasive agents
3988 sqm spray-painted with a 130 µm coat of brown paint
3988 sqm spray-painted with a 130 µm coat of red paint

Flat bottom

3442 sqm spray-painted red
All loading and draft marks repainted
Home port and name repainted
42 letters in three places name repainted
7 letters home port repainted
