Steel cut 2.0 for the RoRo ferry for SeaRoad at FSG in Flensburg

FSG Shipyard GmbH and we are pleased to announce that work has officially resumed on the LNG-powered RoRo ferry for the Australian shipping company SeaRoad.

Together with Thorsten Rönner, CEO of FSG, Michel Bollmann, COO of FSG, and Tony Johnson, Technical Marine Manager of SeaRoad, we gave the signal for the steel cutting of the C57 module. This is an important step, as the ship's weather deck runs 23 meters above the keel.

This steel cutting marks the start of Project 784 and is also a significant step forward for FSG Shipyard GmbH. The project demonstrates the shipyard's consistency and competitiveness and its ability to deliver high-quality and sustainable solutions even in challenging times.

The RoRo vessel, which has a length of 210 meters and a width of 29.30 meters, is expected to be delivered to SeaRoad in the third quarter of 2026. With a capacity of 3,722 linear meters for the transport of trailers and cargo as well as space for 101 cars, the vessel will offer a total of 4,227 linear meters. Particularly noteworthy is the ship's ability to transport heavy loads with a single weight of up to 100 tons.
