The second bridge constructed by the Roßlauer Schiffswerft for crossing the highway BAB 3 was – in the course of modernization works at the highway-crossing Fürth/Erlangen – successfully installed last weekend.

The installation was preceded by the construction at both sites of the company in Dessau and Roßlau.

The project, named 380f for short, is an arch formed framework with steal crossbeams to connect it to the reinforced concrete roadway.

The highway BAB 3 was closed for traffic at around 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 6th. The steel construction was then moved by SPMT from the place of pre-assembly to stand parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bridge on the highway. Following this, the construction was shifted parallel to the thrust bearing into its later final position.

At the same time, remaining works were carried out at the bridge 381c, which had been assembled in July.
