Roßlauer Schiffswerft lifts temporary bridge over B184 railroad line with millimeter precision
On Saturday, the truss bridge was lifted over the railroad line in Dessau-Roßlau as planned - with great interest from the public.
The temporary bridge for the B184 in Dessau-Roßlau was successfully lifted into place on Saturday morning as planned. The pre-assembled structure had already arrived at the construction site the previous week. Since then, the assembly teams have been working on the final details, including the support structures on the abutments, the wooden decking for the walkway and elements for noise protection.
The truss bridge was positioned with millimetre precision on the prepared abutments by the assembly team - in close coordination with the surveying team and the crane operator - right on time at around 12 noon. The lift-in went smoothly and without any delays.
There was great interest in the bridge lift: hundreds of onlookers watched the work along the B184 and on the old Herbst Bridge - including many employees of the shipyard
