The new RoRo ferry, named SEAROAD I, represents an important step forward in the current construction programme and highlights the close and trusted cooperation between the two companies.
With a length of 210 metres, a width of 29.3 metres, and a gross tonnage of 43,080 GT, SEAROAD I is the largest vessel ever built for SeaRoad. The modern LNG propulsion system enables particularly environmentally friendly operation and supports SeaRoad in further developing sustainable freight transport between Tasmania and mainland Australia.
From September 2026, SEAROAD I will enter regular service and significantly expand transport capacities in the region. The vessel offers 4,125 lane metres of cargo capacity, including space for 101 cars, as well as 25 cabins with a total of 30 berths.
